20th anniversary program, May 29 – 31, 2026, with Kanjuro Shibata XXI Sensei.
In 2006, the Barako group got its name from Kanjuro Shibata XX Sendai.
Our 20th Anniversary Program will be international and open to all members of the Heki ryu Bishu Chikurin ha;
There will be room for hitote practice in- and outdoors.

  • 18 January: 09:30 – 17:30 (annual meeting from 10:00 – 12:30)
  • 15 February: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 15 March: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 19 April: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 17 May: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 30 and 31 May 2025, 20th anniversary programme 2026.
  • 21 June: 09:30 – 17:30 (summer meeting from 10:00 – 12:30)
  • 20 September: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 18 October: 09:30 – 17:30
  • 14 November: 09:00 – 17:30 Weekend programme + First shot training
  • 15 November: 09:30 – 17:00 Weekend programme + First shot training
  • 20 December: 09:30 – 17:30

The above times include 30 minutes for setting up and dismantling. Opening and closing of the practice day are 10:00 and 17:00.

Open Weekends and first shot training
An Open Weekend is open to kyodo practitioners who have previously completed a first shot weekend or who have been practising Heki ryu Bishu Chikurin ha kyudo for some time.
Who wants to learn to practise kyudo does a first shot training during an open weekend. The training lasts for two days: participants can register for two days only.
